This plot was dense with roots and weeds and soil that needed to be worked. We pulled everything by hand in order to keep chemicals off our food. It took many days of very hard work and we still have a ways to go. But we have a goal and that’s to teach our children what’s involved in growing organic food. To eat local, as in our own backyard. To consume and waste less and for them to appreciate fresh, whole foods. We can’t wait for our first harvest and each day after that.
